I am back in Shangri-la Mactan again and this is my third stay in the past 1.5 years. I love this place so much, it looks like my vacation here will be an annual (or a bi-annual) thing. The star of Shangri-la Mactan are truly its people. Everywhere you go, they greet you with a smile. All staffs welcome you warmly and are very caring. Evelyn, the staff from the beach sports center, remembered me and even recounted my previous stays, cheerfully mentioning what I did and whom I am with before.
This resort is truly world class from the people to the facilities. In Shangri-la Mactan, you can experience luxury without the luxurious price tags. The rooms are competitively priced to include free resort activities like intro scuba, kayak, yoga, garden tour and snorkelling safari to mention a few. Dining within the resort is not that expensive. You can dine in the resort’s main restaurants for almost same price as you would spend in mid-range restaurants in Makati or Serendra.
My family, composed of 8 adults & 2 children, is planning for a Cebu tour this coming April. I would like to ask for your suggestions on the itinerary and hotel accommodation for a 4 days & 3 nights stay. Thank you.
Hi Marconi!
I’ve been to Shangrila Mactan at least 5x myself and can highly recommend it! The resort is already a destination on its own as they have their own marine sanctuary which is great for snorkeling. They also provide a lot of water and non water activities (like yoga and children play area) to keep everyone occupied.
For variation, you may want to explore the nearby Bohol for a day trip from Cebu.
Hope this helps!
